Here's the details:
  • Full-time, 40-hours per week, M-F, 9:30am-6:00pm
  • Rotating call responsibility and may have a rare weekend shift.
We are looking for a Central Sterile Technician who is ready to plant roots and grow in our Central Sterile Unit. Apply now! JOB SUMMARY: Processes instruments, supplies, and trays for Surgery, Maternal Health, Emergency Room, X-Ray, ICU, and Nursing Units. QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Minimum of one year experience in patient care and/or central service in a hospital or related health care facility, or completion of a certification course in central service technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to function in stressful situations.
  • Able to take weekend call on a rotating schedule.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking and standing.
  • Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read and write.
  • Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to talk and converse with others in person and over the phone.
  • Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care.
  • Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Possesses fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: finger stick blood sugars, vital signs, feed patients, and handle instruments).
