BASIC FUNCTION: The Central SupplyClerk works closely with the Ancillary Billing Coordinator to facilitatereceipt and distribution of supplies. This associate is responsible formaintaining the stock room. QUALIFICATIONS: MinimumQualifications: •Persons who have been found guilty by acourt of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health carerelated setting are ineligible for employment in this position. •Knowledge of regulatory standards andcompliance requirements. •Freedom from illegal use of drugs. •Freedom from use of and effects of use ofdrugs and alcohol in the workplace. •Working knowledge of personal computer andsoftware applications used in job functions, (word processing, graphics,databases, spreadsheets, etc.) •Strong organizational and analytical skills;oral and written communication skills. Educationand/or Experience: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: SupportServices: •Assist with supply check-in at the time ofdelivery and verify against purchase orders. •Forward purchase orders and packing slips toAccounts Payable. •Distribute supplies to appropriatelocations. •Maintain a cost requisition system. •Assure that the stock room is clean, safeand orderly. •Mark all appropriate supplies for use withthe TRIAD inventory system. •Obtain data on chargeable supplies used byeach resident and transfer the information into the TRIAD system daily. •Assist with daily and monthly physicalinventory. •Demonstrates satisfactory level ofinterpersonal skills to interact with facility staff, Administration,residents, families, vendors and government agencies. •Demonstrates knowledge of and respect for therights, dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions. •Understands the importance of and respectfor the rights dignity and individuality of each resident in all interactions. •Demonstrates honesty and integrity at alltimes in the care and use of resident and facility property. •Know of emergency and disaster procedures of the facility. Demonstrates respect for co-workers and responds to needs of residents by complying with facility policies.•Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilitiesand complete duties within allotted time. •Ability to carry out the essential functionsof this job (with or without reasonable accommodation). •Assure participation in relevant in-servicetraining sessions. •Attend and participate in facility meetings,including those relating to Infection Control/Safety/Quality Improvement, asassigned. •Access continuing education opportunitiesappropriate to responsibilities. •Perform other duties as assigned.
