Central Supply Coordinator - Kauai Care Center : Job Details

Conveniently located in Waimea (near Eleele and Lihue) on the west side of the beautiful Garden Island, Kauai Care Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, embodies the Aloha Spirit. We collaborate with residents, their families, and medical providers to bring harmony and balance to residents' lives, developing personalized plans that promote faster recovery so our residents can return home sooner. The Central Supply Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the functions of the central supply room by maintaining supply and equipment inventory on all units while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulatory and organizational standards. You will:

• Maintains an appropriate level of stock supplies to meet staff and resident needs
• Coordinates the ordering, inventorying, delivering, rotation, and cost comparisons of medical supplies, and maintains records related to the functions
• Maintains Central Supply section of material safety data sheets (MSDS) books
• Ensures cleanliness and/or sterility of supplies, equipment, and Central Supply Room areas
• Maintains infection control standards.Maintains computer database of patient information and uses a database to accurately maintain patient charge tracking system
• Prepares monthly reports for administration detailing inventory distribution, supply use, and other functions of central supply

You currently:

• A minimum of three months' prior Central Supply experience in long-term care is preferred.Current First Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to lift 25-40 pounds constantly
