This role encompasses both direct and indirect patient care activities, following all established policies and procedures. You'll also maintain a safe, clean environment for patients.Reporting StructureReports to Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Director of Nursing (DON).Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide personal hygiene assistance and support with activities of daily living.
- Medical Support: Assist the nursing staff with medical tasks like enemas, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, and vital checks.
- Observation & Reporting: Monitor changes in patient conditions and report to the supervising nurse.
- Teamwork: Work effectively as a team member and assist in the orientation of new employees.
- Safety: Maintain a safe and attractive environment, adhering to healthcare best practices like hand hygiene.
QualificationsEducation: High school graduate or final-year enrollee. Successful completion of a state-approved nursing assistant course preferred.Experience: 6-12 months in a nursing home setting with acceptable references.
