A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in providing patient care and support to assist the nursing staff in a variety of healthcare settings. They are responsible for helping patients with daily tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and feeding, as well as monitoring and reporting any changes in their health conditions.

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
• Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of medical equipment
• Assist nurses in performing medical procedures and treatments
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Observe and report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients

Requirements:

• Valid certification as a Nurse Assistant (CNA) in the state of Michigan
• some home care experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and bending
• Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
