Key Responsibilities - Provide vital patient care services, including hygiene, nutrition assistance, and safety monitoring as directed by the Charge Nurse.
- Accurately document patient information and progress in the patient record based on established guidelines.
- Conduct initial assessments for new residents, including completing personal belongings sheets, obtaining vital signs, and orientating them to the facility.
- Respond promptly to call lights and residents' needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Regularly monitor and reposition residents to prevent discomfort or injury.
- Assist with procedures and treatments as instructed by the Charge Nurse.
- Maintain appropriate supplies and report any additional needs to the Charge Nurse.
- Effective communication and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure quality care.
- Adhere to patient confidentiality and documentation standards.
- Participate in continuing education and in-service training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications - High school diploma preferred but not mandatory.
- Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification required.
- CPR certification is necessary or a willingness to obtain it within six months of employment.
- Experience in long-term care settings is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for effective interactions with patients, their families, and staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet care standards.
- Physical capacity to stand and walk for prolonged periods and handle weight up to 200+ lbs with appropriate techniques.
- Manual dexterity and coordination for patient care activities.
- Basic visual acuity to perform essential tasks accurately.
