Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes, home community care, and hospitals. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility and transportation of patients within the facility or home setting.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and caregiving best practices in all interactions.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a nursing home, home care, or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical systems and record-keeping practices is essential.
- Ability to perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and understanding medical terminology.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) procedures is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to lift and move patients safely while maintaining proper body mechanics.
