RSI (Residential Services, Inc.) is a private, nonprofit organization serving the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area of Orange County. We specialize in providing compassionate care and support for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Our mission is to help individuals thrive and reach their highest potential. We're looking for caring, committed people to join us as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).

Position Summary:

As a CNA, you will be a vital part of the care team, supporting adults with IDD in a group home environment. Your role is to ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of the residents during their time at the day program.

Key Duties:

- Assist residents with daily tasks such as personal care, hygiene, and administering medication. - Monitor and address any medical or behavioral needs that occur during the day, following established guidelines. - Create a positive, empowering environment by encouraging residents to engage in social, recreational, and skill-building activities. - Keep accurate and timely records of observations, incidents, and actions. - Work closely with case managers, healthcare professionals, and families to provide well-rounded care. - Maintain a safe, clean living space by performing light housekeeping and conducting regular safety inspections.

What We're Looking For:

- High school diploma or equivalent required. - Experience with individuals with IDD or in a caregiving role is a plus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities. - Ability to stay calm, compassionate, and patient in difficult situations. - Basic understanding of healthcare practices, with a willingness to learn more. - Dependability and the ability to work independently are essential.

Current Opportunities:

- Monday-Friday 7 AM - 3 PM - Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday: 2:30 PM - 9 PM (with 8 AM - 8 PM on weekends) - Overnight shifts: 11 PM - 9 AM - Part-time positions available with flexible scheduling, including weekends and weekdays.
