Position Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential patient care services, including hygiene assistance, nutrition support, mobility aid, and ensuring the safety of our residents as directed by the Charge Nurse according to established departmental guidelines. You will be responsible for:

  • Taking and documenting vital signs accurately.
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Orienting new residents and ensuring they receive necessary materials upon admission.
  • Responding promptly to call lights and addressing resident needs.
  • Conducting regular rounds and repositioning residents to prevent discomfort.
  • Accurately measuring and recording intake and output.
  • Assisting with procedures and treatments under the guidance of the Charge Nurse.
  • Maintaining proper supplies and equipment while notifying supervisors of any needs.
  • Engaging in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills.
  • Building effective working relationships with team members, charge nurses, and department managers.
  • Maintaining discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Providing comprehensive reports to the Charge Nurse at the end of each shift.

May be assigned additional duties as needed.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma preferred but not required.
  • Active Certified Nurse Assistant certification in your working state.
  • CPR certification required or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with patient transfers.
  • Manual dexterity and skilled use of hands for patient care and documentation.
  • Visual acuity to distinguish color.

The pay range for this position is $16.08 - $25.24 per hour.
