Job Description:Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychological assessments of clients to develop or follow individualized treatment plans.
- Assess clients' home and work environments to determine necessary adjustments for optimal functioning.
- Advise on adaptive equipment to enhance clients' ability to perform daily activities.
- Develop physical rehabilitation programs aimed at helping clients regain lost skills.
- Prepare clients for a successful return to work through tailored rehabilitation strategies.
- Educate caregivers and family members on effective patient care techniques.
- Evaluate the results and progress of occupational therapy interventions on clients.
- Maintain professional knowledge and stay updated on technical advancements to provide clients with the best treatment programs available.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local certification requirements.
- Evaluate patient conditions in relation to physical and basic mental health.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from a program accredited by ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education) or AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association).
- Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Compliance with state healthcare regulatory requirements.
- Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to care for clients with diverse personalities and needs.
- Proficiency in using computers for various tasks related to client care and documentation.
- Strong ability to assess patient conditions and collaborate on effective treatment plans.
