Summary:The Workforce Group (WFG) is seeking a Certified Property Appraiser to support the review of Actual Cash Value (ACV) appraisals that support the Substantial Damage determination process for homeowners affected by the recent hurricanes. The appraiser will evaluate property values, analyze property condition, and ensure ACV estimates align with industry standards and local market values. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and expertise in property valuation to support accurate and fair assessments that meet regulatory requirements.Location: RemoteDuties and Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze Actual Cash Value (ACV) appraisals of residential and commercial properties to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of property condition, depreciation, and relevant market data to verify ACV estimates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide insights into valuation processes and resolve discrepancies.
  • Document findings and adjustments for ACV valuations, ensuring thorough and accurate records for reporting and compliance.
  • Communicate appraisal results and necessary adjustments to relevant parties, including property owners, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Certified Property Appraiser with a valid state certification. Minimum 1 year experience in property appraisals, with a focus on Actual Cash Value (ACV) assessments required.
  • Strong knowledge of property valuation principles, depreciation factors, and market analysis.
  • Proficiency in data management software, appraisal software, and Microsoft Office applications for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain valuation outcomes, answer questions, and resolve concerns.
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and address discrepancies in valuations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple appraisals, and meet deadlines.
  • Sound judgment and ethical standards in handling sensitive valuation and property information.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits and field inspections if required.
