Roles / Responsibility:
- Types of cases: bread and butter includes OB, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, healthy pediatrics, outpatient surgery, trauma and regional anesthesia; will insert lumbar epidural catheters, administer spinal anesthesia and will sometimes administer Axillary Brachial Plexus Blocks; though not typical, CRNA may perform other procedures and provide assistance as needed. Bread & butter + OB. No cardiac or thoracic (these cases are handled solely by the ANE).
- Epidurals, purple blocks, competent in airway and regional skills, able to put in spinal block.
Schedule: Flexible; 5 days a week, 12 hour shifts - OT and call available.
BLS/ACLS Certification: BLS, ACLS
Licensure: New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license and certification as a CRNA.
Certification: (NBCRNA) certification.
