RESPONSIBILITIES Complete assessment of patients within the scope of practice. Understands etiology of types of wounds including surgical, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcer, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers, and traumatic wounds. Recommends appropriate wound care management strategies' by collaborating with Physicians and staff. Assists Physician during debridement and/or minor amputations. Evaluates patient response to treatment. Has basic understanding of wound care products and advanced treatment modalities including Coban 2, regenerative medicine products and such other related products. Perform physical, psychological, and cultural nursing needs of patient. Provides ongoing reassessments in conjunction with the primary nurse or physician of patients. Communicate with the appropriate team members Provides patient and family education regarding hyperbaric oxygen therapy and wound care needs as well as unit and procedural orientation. Assists the hyperbaric physician in initiating a plan of care based on the HBO diagnosis and medical diagnosis. Follows universal precautions and safe infection control. Knowledge of Regulatory Standards as per Hospital. (JCAHO, OSHA, Corporate Compliance, HIPPA, and Risk Management). Commited to Serice excellence EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Nursing staff with current state license in good standing. BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred. Wound care experience, Required. Wound Care Certification, Preferred Demonstrates working knowledge of various EMR (ALLSCRIPTS, EPIC, CERNER, etc..)The salary range for this position is $65-$65/hourApply Return to Search Results Share this job
