Job Description:

The CFE Coordinator will support the organization and execution of all CFE program responsibilities under the supervision and direction of the CFE Directors at the Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. They will play a vital role in developing and executing community formation experiences and expanding vocational formation opportunities. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for serving others. The CFE Coordinator will work closely with the CFE Directors at each school, community partners, volunteers, and the Office of Faith Formation team to ensure successful planning and execution of CFE events and initiatives. This position is part-time (20 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist the CFE Directors in the planning, organization, and execution of local formation and service opportunities, e.g., 9th grade Community Formation in the fall, MS Core Community Formation in the fall, US Community Formation in the spring, and LS class engagement throughout the year.

    • Develop detailed plans, maintain timelines, and oversee logistics to ensure smooth operation of CORE experiences.

    • Create, communicate, and execute transportation plans for CORE offsite experiences.

    • Collect, update, and maintain student information and forms related to their formation experiences.

  • Assist in Community Partnership Development:

    • Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with local churches, nonprofits, community organizations, and businesses to identify service opportunities and deepen collaboration potential.

    • Serve as a representative of Minnehaha Academy in these relationships, and as the primary point of contact for inquiries related to community formation events.

  • Vocational Formation Development:

    • Assist in the organization and management of educational opportunities and related activities related to vocational formation, in partnership with such parties as the Director of Community Engagement and Alumni, and the Counseling Offices at the Middle and Upper School.

    • Assist in coordinating and scheduling career-related programming, such as guest speaker sessions, career days, and off-campus visits (e.g., Junior Achievement).

    • Gather and prepare materials and resources for vocational formation sessions, speakers, roundtables, career day, and other activities.

    • Maintain accurate records of student participation, program outcomes, and career-related activities.

  • Program Improvement & Data Tracking:

    • Help collect and track feedback from participants, volunteers, and community partners to continuously improve CFE opportunities.

    • Stay informed on best practices in community service and volunteer management to enhance program effectiveness.

    • Record and track participation, event outcomes, and community impact in order to provide updates for parents, donors, and community partners.

    • Partner with the Marketing and Development teams at Minnehaha as requested.

    • Help to generate updates on the CORE program for the MA community and beyond.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching, community service coordination, volunteer management, or event planning.

    • Experience working with diverse populations, churches, and community organizations is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Clear communication skills are essential.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of community members, both internal and external to the organization.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Working Conditions:
