We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our clients dynamic finance team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while supporting various aspects of financial operations. This position is temporary and reports directly to the Vice President. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $36 to $46 per hour.Responsibilities:
- File monthly and quarterly sales tax returns to ensure compliance with local regulations, including multistate returns.
- Assist in preparing the year-end income tax return, considering the complexities of multistate tax regulations.
- Oversee operational accounting tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Provide supervision and guidance to the customer service team.
- Reconcile various accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare commission agreements and assist in creating sales dashboards for the sales team.
- Collaborate with customer service to ensure sales orders comply with correct sales tax regulations.
- Review check runs and gross profits by department to identify anomalies and ensure financial stability.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, IQMS ERP software, Crystal Reports, and Spreadsheet Server.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in accounting roles, preferably with exposure to various financial functions.
