Change Manager (Claims) - Gateway Program - Paco Group : Job Details

PACO Group, Inc. (PACO) is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Change Manager - Claims to join our team and support the PANYNJ Phase A Extension project, which is a critical component of the Gateway Program. This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead the management and resolution of claims related to civil construction, ensuring compliance with agency standards and smooth project execution. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the management and processing of civil construction claims, ensuring compliance with agency (MTA, NJT, etc.) standards and procedures.
• Evaluate contract terms, identify potential claims, and implement strategies for resolution.
• Collaborate with contractors, legal teams, and project stakeholders to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Prepare and review claims documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop reports and presentations summarizing claims status, risks, and recommendations.
• Negotiate settlements and recommend actions for claim resolution while minimizing risks and costs.
• Provide expert advice to project teams on claim prevention and dispute resolution best practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to avoid recurring claims.
• Maintain organized records of claims, correspondence, and supporting documentation.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of proven experience in claims management, construction contract administration, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Law preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction processes and claims resolution strategies.
• Experience working with public agencies such as MTA, NJT, or PANYNJ is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
