Channel Account Manager - Northeast

Region encompasses NH, MA, RI, CT, NJ, NY, PA, DE, MD

The Channel Account Manager (CAM) for Molex Industrial Solutions will be responsible for sales coverage of the geographic region encompassing NH, MA, RI, CT, NJ, NY, PA, DE, and MD. The primary responsibility is to grow profitable revenue with our Channel Partners with a focus on the Food & Beverage, Material Handling, and Warehouse structure market segments. The CAM is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies to maintain existing business and identify opportunities for growth to exceed annual sales goals. The CAM must establish and maintain relationships with the Industrial channel partners, working closely to provide support on design wins at Industrial end users and OEMs. Expectations include broadening the customer base by finding and penetrating new targets for Molex's Industrial products. The ideal CAM is a self-motivated individual who can successfully manage and prioritize their workload with minimal direct supervision, is quick to learn new technology, and is driven to pursue new business. This individual must possess a work ethic that enables a high level of productivity resulting in mutual benefit for both Molex and our customers.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Own the account strategy within assigned Industrial Channel Partners.
  • Establish strong relationships with field sales, branch management and regional management within the Channel Partners organizations. Understand their processes, business drivers and organizational models.
  • Follow the Molex sales process using the SalesForce platform. Create a plan for growth together with the Molex Distribution Corporate Account Manager, Product Managers and sales management. Generate and maintain a healthy opportunity funnel, drive opportunities to closure and exceed performance goals.

* Understand the Industrial business & market (applications, standards/regulations, drivers, and trends), the customers' organization, and desired business outcomes.

  • Proactively collaborate with the North America Product Managers and Business Development Team for promotional opportunities targeting specific customers or markets with the Channel Partners.
  • Qualify customer opportunities, engage the appropriate resources, and coordinate the solution which will impact the customer's decision process. Present solution(s) to the customer (value proposition) along with the Channel Partner.
  • Coordinate with Molex's inside sales development team, senior management, and a technical engagement team (domain experts) to plan for and win identified opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, discounts, and allowances through our channel partners in collaboration with sales development team. Support the sales development team with information to enable accurate and profitable quoting.
  • Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures. Appropriately applies policies and procedures in compliance with government laws. Policies and procedures include, but not limited to Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, Control Environment, Information Protection, ISO 9000 & 14000, and government regulations (e.g. health, safety, quality, and environmental).

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel locally greater than 30% of the time. Geography includes the northeastern area of North America. Annual travel to Molex HQ in Lisle, IL.
  • Prior experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, manufacturing operations, systems integration, or an engineering firm.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or Business Management. Additional business-related degree/experience preferred.
  • Prior experience within food & beverage industry, machine/line builders, material handling, and/or the general industrial automation sector is preferred.
  • Experience working within all levels of an industrial automation plant including senior management, controls/system engineers, maintenance staff, and sourcing.
