Salary : $54,766.40 - $83,012.80 AnnuallyLocation : Fort Dodge - 50501 - Webster County, IAJob Type: Full-timeJob Number: 25-01891Agency: 252 Corrections - Fort Dodge Correctional FacilityOpening Date: 01/13/2025Closing Date: 1/28/2025 11:59 PM CentralLinkedIn Tag: #LI-POSTPoint of Contact: [email protected] Job Description Work closely with Associate Warden of Treatment/designee ensuring viable religious programming for all Incarcerated Individuals at the Fort Dodge and North Central Correctional Facilities.Oversee coordinating of all faith services, ensuring that all faiths receive a minimum of servicesrequired to meet the standards and doctrines of their faith.Provide pastoral services to all Incarcerated Individuals/families on an as needed basis.Work with and maintain contact with Department of Corrections contracted religious consultants.Facilitate groups/classes as directed.Schedule religious feasts annually.Work closely with security regarding scheduling and outside visitors.Monitor and Supervise religious groupsOversee groups as needed, assisting with any problems relative to scheduling, supplies,membership.Complete training as required.Attend meetings, special staffings and program reviews as needed.Coordinate marriages in accordance with DOC policy.Make weekly visits to provide religious services to Incarcerated Individuals in restrictive housing.Monitor and review all orders of supplies for religious groups.Monitor religious property ensuring it meets the guidelines of DOC personal and religious property.Ensure active participation by outside volunteers by working closely with the institutions volunteer coordinator.Assist in the scheduling and monitoring of activities involving outside religious groups andvolunteers.Work closely with all ministerial association(s) to assist in reentry efforts for Offenders.Represent Fort Dodge and North Central Correctional Facilities at DOC Chaplain Meetings.Any/all duties/special assignments as directed by direct or department supervisor.Supervise the chapel library and perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualification Requirements Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in a social/behavioral science that includes a minimum of twenty (20) semester hours of coursework in Pastoral Psychology/Pastoral Counseling;ORgraduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Divinity;ORexperience equal to one year of full-time work as an institutional chaplain, licensed or ordained minister, or other credentialed pastoral/ministerial position.For additional information, please click on this Additional Qualification Requirements At the time of appointment or interview, candidates for Chaplain positions must provide the appointing authority with demonstrated evidence (ecclesiastical endorsement or comparable verification) that the candidate is authorized by proper authority to perform ministerial functions within h/his religious denomination.
