The Hotel offers a relaxing two-acre pool terrace, Equinox Fitness Center & Spa, multi-million dollar art collection, an award winning steakhouse - EDGE Steak & Bar, and connects guests to Miamis most alluring and vibrant destinations recommended by in-house experts. Four Seasons Hotel Miami is looking for a Chef de Cuisine for our rooftop restaurant, Bahia who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our employees have the opportunity to shape our guests experience by providing exceptional knowledge and service in support of our world-renowned organization. The Opportunity Nestled within our rooftop terrace, Bahias al fresco setting offers Northern Mediterranean cuisine while celebrating Miamis unique poolside lifestyle. Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the Bahia Kitchen Department responsible for food preparation while ensuring superior quality and consistency. Assist in the planning and development of recipes, and ensure the correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items prepared through production and demonstration. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Experience in Latin Influenced and/or East Mediterranean Cuisines Three to five years previous supervisory experience in multiple culinary/food & beverage department in fast paced luxury environment. College degree preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience is required. Must be able to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays. Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems. Requires the ability to operate and utilize culinary production equipment and tools. Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying food items and operating culinary production equipment and tools. May be continuous and repetitive. Ability to supervise, demonstrate and expedite in various kitchen production areas. Continuous standing to supervise, demonstrate and expedite in various kitchen production areas.
