Marine Dock Operator

Bay City, TX

PSC Group is seeking a Dock Operator to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and outdoors around the waterways. The Dock Operator serves as the person-in-charge of the dock and assists the Tankerman with the safe transfer of oil products and chemicals to and from barges and/or ships. Work Schedule (Depending on Location):

* Dedicated: This position would be based out of one location with a set schedule (12 hour rotating day/night shifts)

Pay Range: Starting at $25.50 / hr.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* Meets with the person-in-charge of the vessel and communicates with facility personnel

* Maintains detailed dock logs to ensure all events are recorded in chronological order

* Operates crane, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical equipment, and manual / motor operated valves

* Understands the facility piping layout to transfer the proper product

* Gauges barge and retrieves sample of product from vessel

* Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.

Job Qualifications:

* Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available

* May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location

* 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.

* Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check

* Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
