Chemical Process Operator

Position Location: Richmond, CA

Position Type: Contract

Position Hourly Rate: $20/HR - $22/HR

Schedule: M-F, 6am to 2:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor chemical processes for life science products. Handle, mix, and test chemicals, and ensure safety and compliance.
• Collaborate within the team and other departments.
• Follow safety policies and protocols for chemicals.
• Weigh, measure, prepare, mix, monitor, and adjust chemical materials while operating large-scale reactors and other equipment used to produce life science research products.
• Collect samples of chemical solutions prepared and perform in-line product testing to resolve simple chemical issues before completing the production process.
• Maintain clean work environment and perform equipment cleaning.
• Document procedures and communicate issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Chemical/biological production experience desired.
• Intermediate math and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience a plus.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and reactors is a plus.
