Chemical TechnicianPlease double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Bucks, ALSystem One is currently seeking a Chemical Technician on a 22 month contract position located in Bucks, AL.Chemical Tech Requirements: BS degree in Chemistry or other field of science with a MINIMIMUM of 12 semester hours in Chemistry required.Experience and competency in the use, calibration and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation/equipment; knowledge of proper analytical methods and techniques.Experience and competency in the proper operation and maintenance of a water treatment plant.Broad knowledge of analytical, inorganic, environmental and water chemistriesDetailed knowledge of chemical treatment methods and operation of water treatment plant is preferredAbility to troubleshoot mechanical systems, read and understand schematic diagrams and identify plant water process problemsProficiency in various Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Effective oral and written communication skills; demonstrates initiative; safety-minded; values continuous learning and teamwork; must be able to adapt to changing work requirements; must be able to work with limited supervision.Duration: 22 monthsLocation: Bucks, ALPay Rate: $26/hrStart Date: 2/1/25Schedule would be Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pmOnce trained this position requires five 8-hour workdays, including weekend and holiday support.Must be available for callouts, nights, overtime, weekend, and holiday work as required.
