In addition to highly competitive salaries, we offer a bonus program, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase program; comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits, including a robust wellness program; paid time off for vacation, holidays, and sick days; and much more.Please note this position will start in May 2025Starting Pay rate: $47.78PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONTo obtain samples, prepare the samples, and analyze the samples for chemical and radioanalytical analysis from plant systems.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIESRecord and trend data from the chemical analysis.Notify chemistry management for out of specification conditions and adverse trends.Respond to operations chemistry needs.Perform the on shift chemistry technician emergency plan duties.Perform inventories of chemicals, equipment and supplies.Maintain the laboratory and instruments in top material condition with good housekeeping.Perform self-monitoring of radiation dose equivalent and perform associated radiological surveys for chemistry related tasks.As required, change out gas bottles for chemical and counting room instrument; change resin columns for laboratory demineralized water systems; replace chart paper on recorders; and refill liquid nitrogen dewars.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diplomaAbility to pass pre-employment testingAbility to work different shiftsAbility to receive unescorted Nuclear accessExcellent communication, teamwork and organizational skillsDemonstrates leadership capabilities by motivating and inspiring others to accept challenges and meet or exceed expectations, and consistently achieves results, while acting as a role model for exhibiting appropriate behaviorsAND one of the following:Bachelor's Or Master's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent degreeOR Two years professional work experience in chemistryOR Navy Nuclear experience as an Engineering Lab Technician (ELT)#J-18808-Ljbffr
