Job Summary

Performs tasks of a more complex nature which require some training and semi-independent knowledge of the job. Positions are typically administrative or technical in nature and may involve the application of moderate skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities will typically involve more work variety, technical competence, and a moderate degree of independent judgment and responsibility for tasks such as drafting correspondence, preparing reports or spreadsheets, and conducting basic research, etc. This position requires a moderate level of contact with internal and external customers. The ability to work as a team member is necessary. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Performs a range of multi-media lab and office tasks assigned by the IT Services Coordinator/Technology Liaison (CHER building). These tasks may include but are not limited to: attending to paper/cartridges in printers, maintaining and cleaning equipment, customer assistance as needed.

Assists in the patient care labs as assigned. These labs have a number of computers.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a current MSU student

Must maintain satisfactory academic progress

Must feel comfortable performing tasks that are not routine, but rather are more complex in nature

Must have the ability to understand and to follow written and verbal instructions

Must be able to work somewhat independently, utilizing initiative and a moderate level of judgment, analytical and/or decision-making skills

Must be able to operate a variety of office equipment such as copier, telephone, etc.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

WORK STUDY CAN NOT BE A NURSING STUDENT MAJOR.
