Objective:

Chick-fil-A Tanger Outlets Ottawa is currently hiring for a Team Leader (Kitchen) for the daily restaurant operations of the newest and first Chick-fil-A in Ottawa.

Role Vision

As a Chick-fil-A Tanger Outlets Ottawa Team Lead, you will be responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Chick-fil-A's operating standards, vision, mission, core values, and culture.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and retaining talent as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling of team members as required.
  • Possess or be willing to develop an understanding of inventory management.
  • Be a champion for the restaurant's food safety and quality goals.
  • Achieve operational excellence during every shift.
  • Possess the ability to lead by example and influence a diverse operational team of at least fifteen (15) people at a time.
  • Possess the ability to proactively prepare for shifts, delegate, and prioritize attending to issues arising during shifts.
  • Assist with training, scheduling, orienting, monitoring, coaching, and providing feedback to team members.
  • Learn, comply with, and enforce all Chick-fil-A operating and training standards.
  • Ensure all restaurant policies are followed during shifts (e.g., attendance & punctuality policies, waste policies, meal and break policies, food safety policies, etc.).
  • Perform additional job duties assigned by senior leadership to support business needs.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.
  • Must possess a calm but authoritative demeanor.
  • Must possess the ability to handle a highly demanding and fast-paced restaurant.
  • Must possess the ability to provide clear and concise communication.
  • Must possess strong personal characteristics; primarily humility, and a willingness to collaborate and learn.
  • Must possess the ability to use and train on various technologies including iPads and POS systems.
  • Must have 1-3 years of leadership experience and/or a Bachelor's degree/College diploma.
  • Must possess or pursue a food handlers' certificate before resuming position.
  • Working Conditions
  • Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be available to work Mondays - Saturdays.
