Job Description :

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee the monthly financial close process and ensure accurate financial statements are produced in a timely manner.
  • Provide direct supervision for the lease and fixed asset accounting functions.
  • Directly manage accounting personnel, including General Ledger Accounting, Transactional Accounting (AP / AR), Payroll, Tax, Finance and Accounting Systems, and Financial Reporting.
  • Own all accounting integration planning and execution for new acquisitions, including converting new practices to standard HOPCo accounting policies, procedures, systems, and workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with all established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Design and maintain a system of fixed asset accounting and provide support and oversight to the fixed asset accounting function.
  • Partner with the finance team to develop capex reporting.
  • Lead the company's effort to install and activate new processes and accounting solutions.
  • Document and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Develop robust monthly account reconciliation rhythms and month-over-month flux analyses.
  • Serve as the company's point of contact and coordinator with independent auditors and corporate tax return accountants.
  • Create and book all purchase price accounting entries and opening balance sheet entries for new acquisitions.
  • Oversee the treasury operations of the company.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, committed to quality, communication, and eagerness to collaborate.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • MBA/CPA preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • CPA certification.
  • Minimum ten years of accounting and/or finance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Experience working in an organization going through an aggressive scaling period.
  • Experience working in multi-site organizations.
  • Ability to generate, review, and secure confidential information.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize quickly, and deliver results.
  • Desire for continuous learning and growth.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Lead staff and projects in change management and integrate systems, processes, and teams.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to assimilate information easily and present complex issues.
  • Developing project plans for integrations of new acquisitions.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Facilitating goal attainment through the efforts of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to identify the need, plan and develop new processes.

ABILITIES

  • Work creatively with management, department staff, and multiple teams to achieve objectives.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly, verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide transparent status updates of various goals and objectives.
