About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer to lead its philanthropic activities and strategic fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record in elevating fundraising programs, including annual giving, capital campaigns, and major gift cultivation. This role is pivotal in advancing the company's mission and goals through robust philanthropy, and the Chief Advancement Officer will be responsible for establishing and achieving advancement goals that align with the school's strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include providing strategic partnership to the Head of School, Senior Leadership Team, and Board of Trustees, as well as managing a team and fostering strong relationships within the school community.Applicants for the Chief Advancement Officer position at the company should have a deep understanding of and respect for the institution's mission and values. The role requires a candidate with at least 10 years' of fundraising experience, and while not mandatory, experience in independent schools and knowledge of philanthropy in the local area is preferred. The ideal candidate will be adept in all aspects of advancement work, including prospect research, alumni relations, and special events, and will have a strong background in team leadership and management. A strategic and innovative approach to fundraising, as well as the ability to build and nurture relationships with a diverse range of constituents, is essential. The Chief Advancement Officer will also be expected to work closely with the Head of School and key Board members on major gift solicitations and to contribute to the company's commitment to institutional equity through inclusive fundraising practices.
