Our client in Northern Virginia is seeking a Chief Audit Executive to lead their Internal Audit Function. This position will report administratively to their Chief Financial Officer, with reporting responsibilities to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. The Chief Audit Executive is the strategic and trusted advisor charged with developing and implementing the company's audit strategy aimed at mitigating our client's financial reporting risks by establishing and overseeing the company's SOX program. This role is responsible for oversight of financial governance and ensuring consistent business integrity and ethics.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in accounting, which includes auditing Fortune 500 companies or top tier professional services firm. Relevant experience also includes leading and managing largescale initiatives and a track record of consistently delivering business results and exceeding leaderships' expectations.

A bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting is required. An MBA and/or CPA are highly preferred.

Compensation package is negotiable, and commensurate with experience.

This position is in the office; candidates must be local to the Washington DC area.
