Specifically, CWO oversees a network of 18 Workforce1 (WF1) career centers, operated in all five boroughs by workforce development providers under contract with SBS. The Division also manages more than two dozen occupational training programs in collaboration with higher education institutions and non-profit training providers.CWO serves two core constituencies through its centers and programs: jobseekers and employers. At the WF1 centers, jobseekers can access career services such as resume help, interviewing workshops, and one-on-one career counseling. The second constituency is employers, who receive targeted recruitment services to find qualified candidates at no cost.CWO has recently created the Employer and Sector-based Engagement (ESBE) Team, led by the Chief Business Development Officer / Lead Sales & Job Developer (CBDO). The ESBE Team focuses on building relationships with employers and ensuring exceptional customer service.Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner for Citywide Workforce Opportunity, the CBDO will serve as the Lead Sales & Job Developer for CWO's Workforce1 career centers and direct all business development activities.Responsibilities include:
- Develop a sales strategy to engage businesses (especially those employing 500+ staff) with the WF1 centers for hiring needs.
- Create a value proposition and marketing materials that promote WF1 for recruitment.
- Grow and support business development staff through mentoring and professional development.
- Build strategic relationships with organizations representing employers and employees across NYC.
- Diversify industries represented by employers and engage with labor market/business intelligence tools.
- Track and analyze business development and hiring activities using internal CRM systems.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ESBE Team.
- Serve as a member of CWO's senior leadership team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills- At least 5 years of combined experience in business development and sales/marketing activities.

Minimum Qualifications RequirementsA baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and at least 5 years of combined full-time experience in business development or related fields.
