Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Danville will serve pediatric and adult patients, offering inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programming, and ECT services. It will also serve as a teaching hospital for students and residents of Geisinger's College of Health Sciences. Set to open in Spring 2025, this facility will help meet the urgent need for accessible, high-quality psychiatric care in the region, expanding capacity to support patients with diverse mental health needs.This unique opportunity is for an experienced behavioral health CEO to build and lead a cutting-edge hospital with Acadia, the nation's premier behavioral healthcare provider, in partnership with Geisinger Health, one of the leading healthcare systems in PA.Responsibilities:The successful Chief Executive Officer candidate will:Be instrumental in developing a culture that emphasizes high quality care and patient safety.Manage day-to-day operations and staff to achieve objectives in key performance areas:Effective patient care outcomesStaff and patient satisfactionDeeply partnered relationship with Geisinger Health and their stakeholdersIntegration with Geisinger Health around shared mission, vision, values, and professional operationsAppropriate fiscal managementMaintenance of licensure, accreditation, and regulatory criteriaImplementation of business development processesMedical staff compliance with regulatory guidelinesOrganize the day-to-day management and operation of the facility through departmentalization and alignment of responsibilities.Create and maintain a network of local constituency groups including government agencies and local businesses.Appraise leadership team performance and provide coaching as appropriate.Ensure participation of staff in in-service and continuing education programs.Recruit allied health professionals to increase service offerings.Work with corporate contracting team to manage contract negotiations and compliance.Lead development of continuum of care including outpatient services and community-based programs.Serve as the final authority for resolution of staff performance concerns.Attend and chair meetings with governing body and other departments as appropriate.Abide by all company policies and procedures with high personal integrity.Remain current in national healthcare-based initiatives.Ensure an effective survey readiness plan is active.Ensure adherence to the Corporate Compliance program.Lead accurate Governing Board reporting and quarterly calls.Guarantee prompt follow-up on patient safety issues.Support QAPI activities with resources and training.Demonstrate leadership skills in planning, development, and implementation.Identify critical issues and maintain understanding of the marketplace.Manage performance to budget and financial goals.Support the executive team to achieve organizational goals.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related discipline required; Master's preferred.Knowledge and Work Experience:3-5 years of experience in senior leadership or CEO role in a behavioral health or acute care environment.Thorough knowledge of facility administration and clinical operations.Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.Initiative-taking and self-directed with effective communication skills.Ability to work with sensitive data while maintaining confidentiality.Excellent people skills and ability to interact with all levels of staff.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of state and federal laws governing mental health treatment.A transformational leader with strong financial acumen.Experience working with HR to develop succession plans.English sufficient to provide and receive instructions.Personal Characteristics:Passion for the mission and empathy toward those in crisis.Integrity and ability to lead with empathy and transparency.Visible and inspiring leader with humility.Innovative leader capable of leveraging technology.Engaged leader willing to make complex decisions.Exceptional communicator with high emotional intelligence.Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.Strategic with strong execution skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
