POSITION DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Agency's Board of Directors, the CEO serves as Chief Executive Officer of BFAIR and, in partnership with the Board, is responsible for the success of BFAIR. The CEO assures the agency's relevance to the community, the accomplishment of BFAIR's Mission and Vision and the accountability of BFAIR's to its diverse stakeholders. The CEO provides strategic and organizational leadership, develops and implements the agency's strategic plan while ensuring quality standards are upheld across programs.

The CEO demonstrates leadership, empowers staff to make a measurable impact on the operations of current programs and successfully implements new services in accordance with the Agency's Mission and Vision. The CEO supports the Board of Directors enabling it to carry out its governance functions. Other key duties include oversight of fundraising, marketing, technology, and community outreach.

The CEO must be able to manage a high-stress position based on full responsibility for BFAIR's operations.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree preferred, Bachelors degree with related discipline and senior management experience, supervising management staff of a non-profit human service agency The CEO must be a strong communicator both oral and written with experience leading diverse work teams to develop an organization-wide strategy for program excellence. The CEO must be passionate about BFAIR's Mission, articulate in promoting and communicating the agency's Mission to direct reports, the public, governing agencies, legislative and community leaders as well as program staff. The CEO must also possess:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and financial management skills
  • Ability to manage diverse teams and oversee multiple tasks in an organized and timely manner.

Ability to complete all initial and ongoing background checks including but not limited to: CORI, SORI, Fingerprinting, LEIE, Driving record, E-verify, Physical, PPD and licensing and/or certification checks (i.e., nursing). Valid US driver's license and ready access to a vehicle.
