About the Role
The Company is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee its daily fiscal operations, including accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and monitoring the annual organizational budget, supporting the annual audit, and preparing monthly financial reports and statements. This role also involves working closely with the CEO and Administrative Leadership Team to establish and implement fiscal policies and procedures, ensure fiscal compliance with grant programs, and manage the annual budgeting and fiscal planning process. The Director of Finance will serve as a key point of contact for financial matters, provide strategic financial guidance, and make recommendations for improving the organization's fiscal operations.Applicants for the Director of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's, CPA, or CMA certification preferred. A minimum of 3 years' of directly-related financial operations experience is required, with a preference for those who have previous fiscal management experience in a not-for-profit setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of basic acceptable accounting principles, experience with grant funding, and a background in providing strategic financial guidance to a Board of Directors or equivalent. Additionally, the role involves facilities management tasks and may include supporting direct programming and operating a company vehicle.
