Job Title: CFO/ControllerReports To: CEO

Description: As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Wire Experts Group, Inc., you will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring the long-term financial health and success of the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, planning, and reporting. You will also be the Shared Services Leader, playing a critical role in optimizing our shared services functions to support the need of our business units by streamlining processes, enhancing efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enable our company to achieve its strategic objectives.

Essential Functions:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to guide decision-making and resource allocation. Conduct financial analysis to assess the company's performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to the executive team and the Board of Directors.
  • Risk Management: Identify and evaluate financial risks and opportunities. Develop strategies to mitigate risks while maximizing opportunities for growth and profitability. Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow effectively to support ongoing operations, investment initiatives, and debt obligations. Monitor liquidity and working capital requirements, and develop strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize financial risk.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders, including the executive team, board of directors, investors, and regulatory authorities. Ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable accounting standards. Ensure accurate and timely reporting and filing of all tax and other regulatory filings.
  • Capital Management: Evaluate investment opportunities and capital allocation decisions to maximize returns and shareholder value. Assess financing options and manage relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions to support the company's capital needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO and other members of the executive team to develop and execute strategic initiatives for the company and its business units that drive sustainable growth and profitability. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing shared services team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within shared services.
  • Skills/Qualifications/Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.
  • Proven experience in a leadership senior role overseeing shared services functions, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of shared services principles, processes, and best practices, with a focus on driving efficiency and excellence in service delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, risk assessment, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Work Environment:

    Work is primarily indoors in a climate-controlled office and industrial manufacturing building; the noise level is quiet to moderate. The environment is typical of an office setting. The employee frequently works on a computer completing assigned tasks. This is an onsite position.

    Physical Demands:
  • The ability to talk and hear to communicate, detect, discern, discuss, express oneself, and exchange information effectively and clearly.
  • The ability to see details at close range.
  • The ability to sit or stand for long periods.
  • Travel Required:

    10% Travel is to be expected. Some fiscal quarters may include more and some less.
