  • Job Summary:

    The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Versova Management and driving strategic financial decisions to ensure long-term growth and stability. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and the ability to work closely with executive leadership to shape the financial direction of the company.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, tax planning, and compliance.
    • Develop and execute financial strategies that align with Versova's long-term business objectives.
    • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership and the board of directors.
    • Provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis, trends, and forecasting to drive business decisions.
    • Manage the finance team, ensuring strong internal controls and adherence to financial regulations.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
    • Lead treasury operations, including cash flow management, investments, capital expenditure planning, and tax planning.
    • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Oversee and evaluate key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
    • Play an active role in strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships, with a focus on financial impact.
    • Cultivate a culture of financial accountability and operational excellence across the organization.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
    • Expertise in financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning including tax planning.
    • In-depth knowledge of the agriculture industry, especially egg production or similar sector, is highly desirable.
    • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
    • Strong business acumen with an ability to collaborate across departments and drive strategic initiatives.
    • Proficiency with financial systems, ERP platforms, and advanced financial tools.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and stakeholders.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving and high level of initiative.
    • Ability to manage complex projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in financial management, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Strong experience in financial management strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Proven track record in managing finance teams and driving financial performance.
    • Expertise in financial governance, compliance, and risk management.
    • Advanced understanding of financial systems and tools.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA).
    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent.
    • Experience in the agriculture or food production industry, or related sectors.
    • Demonstrated experience leading financial strategies in a large-scale, multi-location organization.
    • Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising.

    Work Environment:

    • Primarily office-based with periodic travel to various company locations as needed.
    • Collaborative and fast-paced environment with a focus on innovation and operational excellence.
    • Must be adaptable and comfortable working in an environment that evolves with industry changes.
