The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing the firm's complete financial operations. Duties include monitoring cash flow, meeting with the managing partner to discuss the best practices for company finances, providing accurate and timely reports on all income, expenses and related data, as well as suggesting strategic plans to improve the firm's overall financial health.
Responsibilities include:
Managing accounting proceduresSupervising finance teamsMaintaining executive responsibility for financial operations, including working capital, capital expenditures, debt levels, taxes and general accounting.Setting up and overseeing all financial and operational controls and metrics within the organizationAnalyzing data and creating modelsPreparing and submitting internal reports of receivables, payables and other financial dataProcessing, compiling, researching and analyzing complex financial information, including 401k dataPreparing and verifying reports, correspondence and other documents, utilizing applicable software within established proceduresExecuting the firm's financial strategyDeveloping plans for growth to increase company profit while reducing expenditureSkills:
Thorough knowledge of QuickBooks and/or other accounting softwareAbility to create and maintain excel spreadsheetsAbility to use independent judgement, common sense and principles of accounting in the performance of tasks.
