Mission
The Chief of Staff will act as a second thread for the CEO. Given the company's top priorities, they will track their progress, identify blockers, and will do the grunt work and build systems to ensure they're achieved. Currently, the company's top priorities are enterprise sales and recruiting. You'll also be a foundational part of how we build the culture at Vapi.
Outcomes
Bear in mind, these will change as company priorities change and new hires for these functions come on board. This role is doing everything the current team doesn't have capacity for.
Take point on recruiting operations in the first 7 days
Build system for tracking recruiting funnel for all roles
Identify candidates, outbound, schedule interviews, draft contracts
Coordinate external recruiters and recruiting agencies
Take point on sales back-office operations in the first 14 days
Track all “next moves” in sales funnel and ensure they get carried out
Draft pilot proposals, commercial proposals, and coordinate redlines with legal
Take point on all business operations in the first 30 days
Handle all communication with the board and finance
Draft invoices to customers and follow-up on late payments
Onboard new hires and customers

Qualifications:
Previous/current consulting experience at top-tier McKinsey, BCG, etc.
Prior experience with startups or a good reason to join one
Has experience using LLMs to optimize business processes
Has a technical background / education / experience with technical companies
