Summary of the Job:

CareerBuilder and Monster are looking for a Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to lead the combined sales of organization of our newly combined companies. We are looking for a leader who has extensive previous experience building, transforming, and managing successful sales organizations. The Chief Sales Officer (CSO) will be a crucial member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving revenue growth and leading the company's sales organization. This individual will develop and execute the company's sales strategy, and build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.

Essential Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Identify new markets, growth opportunities, and potential partnerships to drive revenue growth.
  • Drive rigorous sales development execution and oversight, and KPI management including forecasting, revenue projections and pipeline management.
  • Implement effective customer retention strategies and help develop thriving customer base.
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of CareerBuilder and Monster's product offerings and drive adoption of knowledge and strategy execution to the sales and success teams.
  • Collaborate on sales campaigns that align to revenue targets, budget, and P&L plan.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team to drive business growth and execution of sales strategy
  • Guide career development for the sales leaders and sales and success team members including leading in a high-growth culture
  • Set clear performance goals, provide ongoing coaching and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with C-level executives of key target clients and channel partners
  • Work closely with the customer service team to enhance customer retention, drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and ensure high customer satisfaction

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment:

  • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, product, technology, and customer service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate on go-to-market strategies and product launches.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive innovation within the sales organization by continuously seeking ways to improve sales effectiveness and efficiency
  • Leverage data to enhance the customer experience and increase revenue
  • Monitor the strategies and processes across the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement to success

Job Requirements:

Required experience:

  • Extensive sales leadership experience with the ability to inspire others and lead change
  • Successful track record in working in close collaboration with marketing, customer services, sales operations and product teams.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue through the optimization of existing and creation of new sales channels, marketing, branding, and partnerships
  • Strong marketplace, media, B2B SaaS Enterprise sales growth and client retention experience.
  • Proven experience developing and executing business strategy
  • Experience negotiating 7 figure enterprise contracts
  • Successful experience managing a large team of employees including sales representatives, customer success managers, and leadership professionals

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position is a leadership role and is responsible for managing a senior team of Sales leaders.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Minimum Years of Experience:

  • 10+ years in diversified leadership roles, driving and implementing revenue growth.
