Child Care Teacher Position Summary:Provides a safe, stimulating environment for young children. Creates and implements activities and lesson plans that simultaneously engage and educate children.
Responsibilities: - Incorporates child development using a child's natural inclination to play
- Conducts individual and group activities to encourage learning and develop social interaction skills
- Provides diverse basic care needs, including preparing and supplying proper nutrition, performing cleaning duties and dealing with behavioral issues
- Communicate with parents to discuss a child's educational development
- Maintains appropriate records of attendance and activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 6 months of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred
- Teacher/Care Provider license issued by the City of Coeur d'Alene within 10 days of hire
- CPR/AED/First Aid for the Adult, Child and Infant required
