Two years school nutrition management experience is required: Knowledge of and experience with Window-based Software programs, word required; Must possess the visual acuity to prepare and use data, operate a computer terminal and other office equipment; Basic math skills; Good communication skills (verbal and written); Demonstrates excellent organizational skills;REPORTS TO: Director of Child Nutrition ServicesJOB GOAL: Provide accurate information and entry of data, adhering to USDA Federal Child Nutrition Program regulations and guidelines.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the system USDA Student Meal Application Processing Center;
- Follows USDA Federal Child Nutrition Program application guidelines;
- Adheres to established timelines for implementation of required processes, including preparation of program eligibility rosters, parent notification letters and income verification;
- Maintains all program records electronically and hard copy, as required;
- Responds (verbally and via written communication), as requested to cafeteria manager, school staff, parents and others concerning student meal status and child nutrition operations;
- Compiles and distribute data, as needed;
- In-depth knowledge of Child Nutrition Program procedures;
- Conducts school site reviews of all schools throughout the school year and for the Summer Feeding Program;
- Trains new and experienced employees on quality production methods;
- Works as a temporary manager or assistants in school sites when emergency situations occur;
- Assist in Providing training for new managers in the areas of management, food production/food quality in assigned schools.
- Ensure employees' professional development hours are documented and earned by the end of the school year
- Coordinate Summer Feeding Programs under the direction of the Child Nutrition Director.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Child Nutrition Services
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must possess Food Safety Training Certificate
- Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
SALARY: Edgecombe County Public Schools Classified Salary ScheduleTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months/8 hours per day, or as determined by program needs; EVALUATION: Annually, Classified Personnel Appraisal Instrument
