Why does the job exist?The Child Support Legal Assistant Line Manager II will:
- Provide training, direction, and evaluation to a team of Child Support Legal Assistants.
How does it get done?The Child Support Legal Assistant Line Manager II is responsible for:
- Utilizing Federal and State laws and regulations as well as Health Care Authority (HCA) policies and procedures.
Who are the customers? - Child Support Services Division (CSSD) Child Support Legal Assistants I's and II's.
Ideal CandidateThe Ideal Candidate has experience:
- Independently managing a caseload;
- Preparating legal research and legal documentation;
- In accounting, finance or social, health or human service program development or delivery;
- As a clerk in a Child Support or Income Support office;
- Reviewing referred cases and conducting additional intake, research, and analysis to resolve problems and complaints;
- Utilizing Child Support Services Division County office programs and sanctioning procedures.
Minimum QualificationA Bachelor's degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional level experience operating within limited parameters and guidelines directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years may substitute for the required education and experience. A hiring agency will designate a portion of the required experience to include supervisory and/or specialized experience. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements.
