Join our dedicated team as a Child Welfare Case workers, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting and advocating for the well-being of children and families. In this position, you'll engage directly with clients, assessing their needs, coordinating services, and developing plans that promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes.   • Assess and evaluate the needs of children and families to develop personalized care plans.
  • Conduct home visits to ensure the well-being and safety of children in their living environments.
  • Collaborate with social services, community agencies, and healthcare providers to coordinate resources and support for clients.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case files and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Facilitate family meetings and case conferences to discuss progress and address any issues or concerns.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to children and families during emergencies.
  • Advocate for the rights and needs of children and families within the legal and social service systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance family stability and promote positive outcomes for children.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of cases, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
  • Educate families on available resources, services, and support networks to empower them in their care roles.
  • Prepare and present reports and case summaries for court proceedings when required.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to stay informed about best practices and legal requirements in child welfare.
  • Travel primarily within the county/counties assigned, but some statewide travel is required as needed.
  • On-call every 10-12 weeks on a rotating basis.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field, preferred. Associate's degree in related field with experience, required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in child welfare, preferred.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong crisis intervention and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends while on-call, required.
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills and a strong working knowledge of computers and applications.
  • Commitment to cultural competency and diversity in service delivery.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency's service population.
  • Must have valid driver's license, which meets the requirements of the agency's insurance carrier and reliable transportation
