Job Description :
The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is currently accepting applications for Childcare Afterschool Program Counselors. This is a part-time on-site role. The Childcare Afterschool Program Counselor will be responsible for supervising and implementing programs for school aged children, ensuring that all activities are safe, age-appropriate, and engaging. Childcare Afterschool Program Counselors are expected to contribute to a positive and nurturing environment that promotes the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children.Take advantage of this part-time opportunity for high energy after school staff needed all throughout our community. Experience with working with children preferred.   • Experience in education, childcare, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and to adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of individual children
  • First Aid and CPR certification required (or ability to obtain within first 30 days of hire)
  • Ability to pass a background check
