Mental Health -Clinical Coordinator – Full Time-Day Shift - 8a-4pp– Req 7980Pay Range $44.94-$59.54*A Clinical Coordinator for Mental Health Services accepts responsibility/accountability for quality patient care which is family-centered, age appropriate and based on the philosophy of Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, the Department of Nursing and in accordance with DNV, all regulatory agencies and the Nurse Practice Act of the State of New York. Responsibilities include assessment, evaluation, planning, directing and re-evaluating all activities pertaining to direct and indirect nursing care given within their assigned areas. Actively participates as a team member by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job description when workload requires and as requested by supervisor.REPORTS TO:+ Director of Mental Health ServicesEDUCATION:Required:+ Associates degree in NursingPreferred:+ Bachelors degree in NursingLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Required:+ Valid New York State RN license+ BLS certification+ PMCS within orientation period+ CHMC Chemo-therapy course within one year of position start dateTRAINING and EXPERIENCE:Required:+ One year prior experience in Mental Health+ Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, standards of care, hospital systems organization, and medical equipment used in assigned areas+ Proficient written and verbal skills to conduct in services, perform patient teaching, and assist in writing policies, procedures, and standards+ Basic Computer knowledge+ Maintaining confidentiality of all patient information+ Maintaining quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory agencies+ Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security+ Ability to sustain attention to detail and accuracy as it pertains to the monitoring and documentation of information+ Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients*The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants.
