Duties & Responsibilities
Understand and adhere to all company safety procedures and participate in regular periodic Environmental, Health, and Safety training.
Maintain a safe work environment by reporting and fixing potential safety issues and participating in daily cleaning of work areas.
Collect daily samples of boiler and feed water and test in the laboratory by following established Standard Operating Procedures. Make necessary adjustments to maintain parameters.
Understand acceptable operating parameters of boilers, turbines, compressors, and water treatment systems and report unacceptable variances to appropriate personnel.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures for boiler operations including start-up, shutdown, and other system processes.
Monitors emissions control equipment to ensure that equipment maintains specific requirements.
Participate in routine preventative maintenance of assigned areas. Troubleshoot process and equipment defects and notify the Supervisor when required.
Utilize Distributed Control System (DCS) and PLCs to operate the CHP system, track key performance indicators, and make necessary adjustments.
Infrequent use of equipment to include: forklift, man lift, scissor lift, skid-steer, etc.
Ability to assist maintenance technicians with routine maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Technical training or previous process operator job experience preferred
Possesses a strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
Able to work a flexible work schedule with varying days and hours, including call-ins and overtime.
Able to work outdoors in all seasons and work at heights
Able climb ladders and stairs and lift up to 100lbs
