CHP Operator - Orion Talent : Job Details

Position Details:Title: CHP (Combined Heat and Power) OperatorLocation: Salisbury, MD (within a hour radius of Salisbury)Shift: Day shift. Rotating watch schedule. Estimated 2 weekends of watch.Compensation: $75K plus up to a 12K annual bonus. Relocation is available.Benefits: Benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, vision and many more! A company vehicle will be provided.Travel: 10% overnight, most projects and operations will be within a commute allowing you to be at home. You really are given the freedom to run your region as if you owned this part of the company.Position Description:To effectively achieve the core objectives for the customer and the business, Company must achieve and maintain premier operations, with asset uptime targeted above 97%. Central to achieving this world-class targeted asset up-time is a competent and highly trained staff that employs knowledge of effective operation practices, power systems knowledge, and a massive amount of data /analytics to monitor sites leading to proactive prediction and resolution of problems. The staff member must be proficient with all aspects of the combined heat and power / microgrid systems, which are some combinations of natural gas-powered units, generators, and heat exchangers all precisely controlled and coupled with a micro-grid arrangement that works seamlessly with the facility and the utility.Requirements:Experience as an operator preferredBasic knowledge of engine, gensets, and micro-grids preferredBasic use of mechanical tools, electrical tools requiredAbility to read a one-line electrical diagram preferredCan follow instructions and have good communication skillsIT skills capable of using smart phones, computer, software programs (e.g. Excel). Work Order toolMust be self-motivated, showing initiative and drive to exceed performance expectations with great communications skills.Can work in a team environment
