DEFINITION
Under direction of the City Manager, assists the City Manager in assigned functions of management, administrative and clerical functions under taken by the Office of the City Manager. City Ambassadors will be assigned duties based on their areas of interest.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Management reserves the right to assign other related tasks if such duties are a logical assignment for this position. City Ambassadors may be assigned to any of the following duties:
* Provides administrative, technical and clerical support for the City.
* Prepares correspondence; takes dictation and transcribes letters and memos; performs routine research and gathers data to compile or complete reports.
* Assists the City Manager with Code Enforcement efforts.
* Assists the City Manager with Economic Development efforts.
* Assists in coordinating City events.
* Assists City Manager with disseminating information to the public.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: No educational requirement.
Experience: No experience required.
Licenses: No license requirement.
Other : Must be at least fourteen (14) years of age. Must reside in the City of Coalinga. Must commit to volunteering at least ten (10) hours per month. Must be available to attend lunch meetings from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month. Must maintain a positive attitude and represent the City of Coalinga in a positive manner. Must submit Livescan fingerprints and successfully pass a City of Coalinga pre-employment physical and drug screen.
