CIVIL ENGINEER TRAINEE - DISTRICT 5 - State of Illinois : Job Details

Under immediate supervision, this position performs technical work of a civil engineering nature in connection with the planning, design, construction and operation of transportation infrastructure. This position serves as a civil engineer trainee position for the department. Specific assignments will be made based on location (district or central office) and candidate qualifications at time of employment offer. Essential Functions Provides timely and accurate measurements, analyses, computations, and documentation related to assigned tasks. Keeps supervisor informed of any problems encountered. Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees. Performs other duties as assigned.
