Civil/Structural Designer / DrafterRCM Technologies, a Multidiscipline Engineering Firm located in Oakland NJ, is seeking a Civil/Structural or Mechanical Designer/Drafter with extensive AutoCad and/or Microstation experience for a full-time position. REVIT experience is also valued.The candidate will be responsible for general drafting tasks and work in Multi-Discipline Engineering Departments. This position performs routine work that conforms to all project/task requirements that require basic understanding and application of engineering theories, standards, concepts, techniques. This position is responsible for providing Drafting services within a firm schedule. In addition, the candidate will assist engineers in performing site visits, inspections, obtaining field measurements and preparing field sketches as required.Requirements Two year technical degree OR the equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experienceMinimum 2 years of progressive, relevant Drafter experience as described below or the equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training demonstrating the following skillsKnowledge of general drafting standards, practices, and proceduresExperience demonstrating skills working with company and internal/external customers, contractors, vendors, and/or consultantsExperience demonstrating skill using computer design applications including AutoCAD and MicrostationExperience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, PDF conversion, and e-mail software to perform work functionsAbility and willingness to travel to various company locations as requiredAbility and willingness to differentiate color coded drawings and plansAbility and willingness to work in a variety of work environments which may include outdoors in all weather conditions and in noisy and dirty environmentsMust possess a valid driver's licenseMust successfully pass a medical screening to include a drug test.US citizenship or authorization to legally work in the USPreferred 3-D Modeling using RevitExperience with Utility, Generation, and/or Industrial facilities drafting/designBenefits Medical Insurance401k ProgramDental InsuranceEmployee Stock Purchase ProgramSick and Holiday payPartial Tuition ReimbursementVacation (2 weeks)Business related travel expenseEqual Opportunity StatementRCM is an equal opportunity employer.
