Key Responsibilities - Responsible for handling New Claim Intake/Submissions for multiple Line of Business.
- Ensure claim intake/set up are entered accurately and in a timely fashion
- Handle/finalize coverage position letters, including Issue Indemnity Check payments correspondence.
- Prepare Loss Runs for assigned Attorneys.
- Prepare FedEx labels.
- Scanning mail and labeling/printing documents into appropriate file.
- Set up Travel Arrangements (airline, hotel, car services for Claims Attorneys) and enter travel expenses.
- Assist Claims Attorneys with the management of litigation including initial contact with defense counsel and supplying defense counsel with all relevant documentation during the life of a claim.
Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements - High school diploma required
- 2-year college degree preferred
- 2-5 years' experience in the insurance, legal or financial industry
- Proficient skill level in MS Office
- Must be detailed oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills
- Ability to review and revise correspondence
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to use computer software and database applications related to supporting Claims Department which consists of a paperless environment
