- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling techniques as required.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all trips.
- Follow designated routes and schedules while being prepared to adapt as necessary due to traffic or weather conditions.
- Ensure the secure transport of goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that arise.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with Double/Triples endorsements for vehicle operation.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with tractor-trailer combinations.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or dump trucks is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in commercial driving.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo.
- Excellent time management skills and reliability in meeting delivery schedules.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
